In Memory Of

Stephen A. Ferraro
1962-2019

NEPGP Vice President

Stephen A. Farraro, known as Steve to his friends, served on the NEPGP Board from 2016 to 2019. Sadly, his time with us was cut short, but his impact will never be forgotten.

Before pursuing his passion for animals, Steve spent 18 years in facility maintenance and management at Yale University. Recognizing his love for animals, he made a bold career change, attending the Connecticut School of Dog Grooming and graduating in 2008. He then founded Clippity Do Dog Mobile Grooming in Trumbull, CT, where he truly found his calling. But for Steve, passion alone wasn’t enough—he was determined to provide the best care possible for his clients, both human and canine. He continued his education through annual seminars and workshops and earned certification in Small Animal Massage from the Bancroft School of Massage in Worcester, MA. Steve also interned at the Connecticut Humane Society, where he witnessed firsthand the powerful healing effects of touch and massage on shelter dogs.

Driven by his desire to give back, Steve served on the board of a nonprofit in Bridgeport, CT, that assists disadvantaged pet owners with basic care needs, such as vaccinations and food. He also volunteered with Small Paws Rescue and worked as a veterinary technician for A Hand for A Paw.

As an integral part of the NEPGP family, Steve played a significant role as Vice President, overseeing the website, newsletters, and member communications. His commitment to continuing education for NEPGP members was a top priority.

Steve’s big heart, infectious personality, and dedication to both animals and his community inspired everyone who knew him. While he may no longer be with us, his legacy lives on.

We miss you, Steve. You will never be forgotten.
